I have lived in Tallahassee since 1984 and have owned the store for about 10 years. Owning a bookstore has always been a dream of mine and I LOVE My Favorite Books. I only wish I could be there all the time. Recently, with the retirement of the manager who was there since the stores inception, I decided to take a more active role. That is when we decided to specialize in the promotion of local authors and developed our local author section and book signing events. We have also been doing a lot of improvements in the store both in organization and in appearance. We at My Favorite Books want to make sure that our little local bookstore becomes a big part of the Tallahassee community. We believe that there are a lot of people who still want to read a real book and we hope they all find their way to our store.
Along with the My Favorite Books, the rest of my time is spent managing my other joy, Jennan Enterprises, LLC. I founded my computer consulting company with the motto Another Problem Solved... to reflect the attitude of service to those interested in making the tasks easier, the data more reliable and lives more enriched using computers. Jennan Enterprises, LLC has been active in the computer industry for 35 years under my management and during this time, various numbers of employees and contract programmers have been employed by Jennan to participate in projects. It has always been my responsibility to determine the size of a team needed to accomplish a task and to lead the team to the development of a timely, efficient, correct and complete product, placing priorities on those areas of greatest impact to the customer and to Jennan Enterprises, LLC along the way.
I am continuously amazed at my excitement and enthusiasm for each new step the computer industry takes into further enabling users to broaden their horizons, increase capabilities and productivity and derive enjoyment from the work experience. My goal for the rest of my career is to use my knowledge and ability to optimize and maximize the power and quality of automation in as many environments as possible in as efficient a manner as possible.
